Early Saturday morning, the tour bus carrying gospel artist Charity Gayle and her team was involved in a serious incident while traveling from Michigan to Tennessee. The bus went off the road, traveled over an embankment, and came to rest in a ditch. Miraculously, the vehicle did not flip over, and all team members emerged physically unharmed. The team has expressed immense gratitude, crediting their safety to divine protection.
Following the incident, Charity Gayle was transported to a local hospital for evaluation, where she was treated for a concussion. After receiving medical care, she has since been released and is now resting at home. No other members of the touring party required medical attention at the scene, and all team members are reported to be safe and in good spirits, though understandably shaken by the accident.
Out of an abundance of caution, the tour dates for April 19 in Warner Robins, GA, April 20 in Ormond Beach, FL, and April 21 in Ft. Myers, FL, will be rescheduled. The Charity Gayle team is working closely with TPR and the churches hosting the concerts to coordinate new dates that allow time for rest and recovery. Fans who have purchased tickets will be notified with updates as soon as the new dates are confirmed.
In a message shared with followers, Charity and her team expressed gratitude for the prayers, support, and concern they have received. They ask that fans continue to lift them in prayer as they recover physically, emotionally, and spiritually from the incident.
The Charity Gayle team concluded by emphasizing thankfulness for their safety and the protection they experienced. While the incident was frightening, the team is now focused on healing, ensuring everyone is cared for, and preparing to return to ministry and performances with renewed energy and faith.
